My husband biked the trail from Heathfield to Eastbourne and back whilst I chose to walk with others at a slower pace. Beautiful scenery, off road, pretty pathways, a pleasant way to spend the day, in a lovely part of West Sussex. Excellent free car...More

Good place to enjoy nature, lots of people use the cuckoo trail bikes , runners and walkers, so can be busy. Can stop at loom mill for coffee if going towards Eastbourne or Horam renowned bikers cafe there. Just have to smile and great other...More

This is a great route for a not very confident cyclist like me. Traffic free and the signage makes it clear all users need to share. Plenty of places to stop - all benches have bike stands next to them. If you start at Heathfield...More

This trip was glorious it was fantastic riding along the trees, seeing the green and it was quite cool as it was 30 degrees, it didnt feel taxing on the legs either we went all the way from Heathfield to six miles to Eastbourne overall...More

Took the route from Polegate to Heathfield with our 7 year old son. 22 miles round trip. There's a steady incline on the way there, but downhill easy cycling on the way back and much quicker. Had a great lunch in Wessons cafe in Horam....More

We biked the Cuckoo trail starting from Polegate so that it was downhill coming back. I don't recommend doing this ride when the trees are in leaf. It's quite pleasant but you hardly see any views. And don't use the car park at The Centre...More

Absolutely excellent trail.for all.walking.cycling.running etc.no vehicles.far enough away from busy roads etc but close enough if something is not quite right.nice walk.enjoy.
