We enjoyed a full day here following the two Gruffello trails and playing on the equipment round the forest. A great place for children to burn off some energy.

A huge forest with a grand entrance. If you like walking outdoors this is an excellent place to walk around. There is also a Go Ape inside. Parking is expensive. If you accept this, you can still have a great time. The "High Lodge" is very well kept, it is the central picnic/cafe area by the car parks. The cafe... More

We spent a couple of hours here lunching in the open and walking the 2 mile circular yellow trail. Despite the lateness of the season there are still wild flowers like wild scabious and a variety of fungi to spot as well as 5 different species of butterfly we spotted. The walk was idyllic with some dappled shade and some... More

Definitely venture out into the woods with a hired bike and a map of the many routes on offer. There are ranging difficulties of bike trails of which can be adapted to those of any age! All in all took approximately 2 hours with almost 10 of us taking part!
