Not much to see here. A peculiarity. Good butchers and garden centre but otherwise, pass. I was disappointed with the architectural appearance, felt it was a bit soulless.

Inspired by the Prince of Wales's love of classical and traditional architecture you could call this emerging township the urban brother of Portmeirion in north Wales. Poundbury has all the attributes you could look for in the ideal townscape - spacious streets, pedestrian squares and...More

Nice wide streets, parking everywhere and anywhere you like, but all toooooo nice, and a bit bland for my appetite. Nice place to live if you have given up .....

Poundbury is the model town created by the Prince of Wales. He is so obviously proud of his achievement that there are no road signs to direct you here. Once you have arrived, there is very little to do, so you immediately leave, so it...More

Wonderful architecture, and many different styles of building. No ugly garages visible so some cars parked on the residential roads. Very useful Waitrose and pleasant garden centre. Spoke to a local retired resident who loves living there, and enjoys the social interaction within the community....More

To me this "town" is hard to fathom. Without a doubt the buildings are impressive, but there appeared to be lots of building going on and so it is getting very big. It was nearly deserted. I went to view a very expensive property there...More

First heard of this place on Homes under the Hammer. Apparently built with Prince Charles input. It does take a little getting used to not a huge estate but is growing rapidly with lots of construction on the outskirts. We liked it. There are no...More

Has the feel of a movie set, a bit too polished. Certainly worth a visit. A bit cold and too perfect?

Probably the biggest housing estate in Europe. Continuous building works tearing up some beautiful green fields. Monstrous carbuncle springs to mind.
