Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were really excited about having a chance to see some of the terracotta warriors and planned on spending a good chunk of time there. Imagine our shock and utter disappointment when we paid £16 for the 2 of us with a guide book only to go into a room that was not any bigger than the downstairs of an average house. Time spent less than 10 minutes, I suppose we could have sat and watched the 1/2 hour movie, but we wanted to see actual exhibits. Our advise unless you have a huge pocket of money spend your money on something more worthwhile.

So dissapointing.
Expensive and tiny. Says on the web site you can buy stuff there but you cannot.
We planned on being there for a bit as my daughter is learning Mandarin but unless you sat and watched the video the whole experience was over in 25 mins.
We attempted to learn more, our teen asking how the artifacts got there etc and the lady on the desk literally said 'sorry I have no idea I am only here to sell the tickets',
There was also a teddybear museum upstairs that you had to pay seperately for -we didn't bother as the 'gift shop' was full of them and some Chinese postcards

The museum consists of two tiny rooms, with replicas of the warriors, some pottery and a video film. It takes no more than 20 mins for the experience. Very poor value for money at £10 per adult. This did not include entrance to the teddy bear museum upstairs..

I implore anyone considering visiting this so called attraction to give it a wide birth, in fact I'd suggest the Chinese tourist board pay to have this dump shut down as it will clearly stop people going to China.
Don't go here, whatever you do, even if you are bored, homeless and it's chucking it down - even for a moment's shelter- it's just not worth it!!!
The lady on the door was lovely but it's a shame we couldn't have a quick look round the corner as we'd have genuinely have seen the whole 'attraction', my dog's kennel is bigger!! How they can charge for this nonsense is beyond me...
Utterly pointless, wholly irrelevant, unforgivingly small, depressingly boring, embarrassingly expensive....
Just... Don't ... Bother!

I would not recommend anyone visit this museum! Not because the subject was uninteresting but purely based on value for money. The cost? a whopping £5.99 each!
When we arrived, I asked if they had a toilet that I could use, the lady directed me to the toilets. They were, thankfully, only about 10 meters away. Little did we realise I had actually seen the whole exhibition on my trip to the loo, in the time it took to pay!
Needless to say when the lady asked if we would like to visit the teddy bear museum costing a further £5.99 the answer was "No". Do not waste your money!

I'm sorry to write such a negative review but £15 for 3 of us (2 adults and a child) to look around a room with barely anything remotely interesting to read has left me almost speechless. The cinematic experience was a small TV outside the toilet with barely room to stand was laughable. I think the toilets were more of a highlight. I endorse local attractions especially those of historic interest but I think 50p is a more realistic cost. I feel completely humiliated to be ripped of - guess that's why the UK is becoming a less attractive place to live in.

If I ordered a few terracota warriors, put them up in my living room, printed out some wikipedia info on China 2000 years ago, put a DVD playing on loop, and charged you £5 to visit - it would be better & cheaper than this.
Seriously, this was ridiculous. It was a tiny "museum" - about the size of a small shop - the warriors were replicas (not real) and the whole place was a joke. I am very surprised that it gets away with calling itself a "museum" and even more surprised the tourist board hasn't tried to close it down.

I was very keen on this museum and was disappointed to find a short corridor leading to 1 room with REPLICA clothing! Not real, replica! And 9 terracotta statues, which I am not sure are genuine, there was a feint voice over explaining what I was looking at that I could not hear.
There was also a small room with a video playing a very poor quality docudrama with a warning notice saying "please don't adjust the picture" clearly this has been written as people have tried to adjust the picture to make it more legible! If I had bothered to sit through the 35 minute film It would have taken me 37 minutes to walk round the whole museum, all for £5.95, it's daylight robbery, an utter disgrace!
They have ban photography, I can see why as it would let the secret out about how poor it is.
AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs! My wife and 5 year old went upstairs to the teddy bear museum, equally as bad! We spent £14.95 to look in 2 rooms and watch a poor quality video!
Terrible! I wish I had checked the reviews before going.

This is a one room museum containing copies of artefacts, not originals. Vague information boards do not make this clear however. Tried our best to engage the kids in looking at exhibits but were still gratefully out in 20 mins. All for an exorbitant cost of £18 family ticket! Do not waste your money, doesn't include visiting Teddy museum upstairs, also just the one room, you have to pay again, incredible!

We needed a couple of rainy hours to fill in Dorchester and hoped this exhibition would be just the ticket. Sadly it was a £28 ticket.....providing only 20 mins of interest. We found the descriptions a little ambiguous and it wasn't clear that most of the exhibits could have been bought at any good garden centre (as another writer mentioned). The museum is basically one room and the price is three times what it should be. Save your money and put it towards an ice cream instead. The highlight of the whole experience was being asked to confirm the ages of my children (9 and 11) as the lady on the desk seemed to think they might not qualify for the family ticket ???
