Not the biggest aquarium but the layout is good and easy to get around even when it is busy. There is a good range of both tropical and marine species and the kids will love the Otter's and the Penguins, especially at feeding time.

Can I start by saying that I very strongly disagree with the notion this is overpriced, or boring, and that those who gave this 1/5 really need to reconsider their review. Me (20m) and my fiancee (21f) went here on a Monday morning ~10:45 and thought it was a really great day. We got student admission which was £20.50 for... More

A lovely clean and well stocked sealife centre with plenty to view. It took around 2 hours to go round including a play on the play apparatus in there. The rain was torrential so this was a welcomed activity. There were NO places for you to eat your own food which makes it very expensive for a family as well... More

Yes granted it is not the biggest place but we really enjoyed our trip. It was the hottest few days of the year so we wanted somewhere to cool off so decided to try here! We felt the price was good, spent quite a bit of time looking at everything, really enjoyed the great barrier reef bit and the otters... More

We have visited the oceanarium during our family weekend out in Bournemouth. I would highly recommend visiting this place as it is very enjoyable and great for any age. My 9 year old sister very much enjoyed this trip and visit as it taught her a lot about animals. We will definitely visit again.

The oceanarium was cramped and a bit grubby. Kids might love it but adults will expect better. The overall value was poor as there was not that much to see and some features (like the walk-through tunnel) were in need of renovation. The otters were fun.
