Fabulous views of Christchurch Harbour and the Hampshire/Dorset coastline. Very informative Visitor Centre at the end of The Broadway. Cafeteria available too!

Hengistbury Head is always on my list of places to visit whenever I am in Bournemouth. So unspoilt and wonderful views of Christchurch Harbour and the magnificent Hampshire/Dorset coastline. Cross country runs to The Head and back were order of the day when I was...More

We have visited this lovely place loads over the years. Great for anyone who appreciates a good walk surrounded by nature on all sides. But can get busy on weekends and popular holiday dates like bank holidays (Easter, Boxing Day etc)

This really is a gem of a place. Beautiful headland with wide open spaces, perfect for kids to run wild, long walks on the well maintained footpaths and great dog walking location. Kids love the shale/pebble beach which is great for shell collecting. The views...More

An interesting area, worth a visit. Go on the land train to save your feet, or go for a little hike. And take the ferry from Mudeford Quay to Hengistbury ... or vice versa.

We found Hengistbury Head easy to find ad it was well signposted. From Bournemouth you can follow the coast road, from Christchurch follow signs for Tuckton. There is some road parking where you are limited to a few hours or there are a couple of...More

A fantastic walk through wildlife sanctuaries and wetlands up to the 'spit' with amazing views, back towards Christchurch in one direction and the needles on the Isle of Wight in the other. Land train and ferry boat a great way to travel home.

Dropped in for a coffee in the Hikers Cafe. It was actually quite pleasant and clean and a decent cuppa. Some people around us we're having cooked breakfasts that looked nice. The menu is light lunch snacky and quite reasonable. We wandered over to the...More

Yes, although I would suggest keeping dogs on leads due to live stock but awesome views. Visit the Hungry Hiker after your walk as they have a good selection of light bites.
