The kids always enjoy skating and scooting along the coastal path to the beach. It is rarely as busy as Bournemouth beach and is a nice alternative. The beach is more stony than Bournemouth beach but the views more than make up for it.

It's a nice beach, be prepared for a (lovely) long walk or a ride on the land train which was quite busy.

We had a ferry boat over £1.50 single from Mudeford, to this place of paradise, so beautiful you could be anywhere in the world and we are lucky to have it in the U.K., I fell in love with the place, crystal waters white sand,...More

Wonderful natural gem of a landscape. If you love the outdoors and beautiful scenery, birds and views of the river and sea, you will like it. Brilliant for dog walkers, families, anyone who wants to walk.

Walking from the main carpark along the coastal path (tarmac) to the most stunning views over the bay, head and Mudeford. It is a bit of a climb on a hot day but well worth it and it is good for you! Dropping down to...More

This is one of my favourite places in the area. At the top of the hill, there's a completely different aspect whichever way you look and it's always beautiful whatever the season. Whenever friends or family visit, I bring them here as it's an easy...More

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the car park was quite full. On the plus side, the parking tickets machines were all out of order so we did not have to pay for parking! As we were visiting with my 88 year old mother,...More

We visited Hengistbury Head today having not visited it for a long time. Still as beautiful and unspoilt as it always was. Lots of parking available. The only downside for us was the lack of places to eat or buy food. Other than that it...More

Great place to visit with the family. Parked at the visitor centre and walked down to the beach. There is also a land train which accommodates buggies and plenty of bags. Beach was lovely and had a nice little cafe. The beach huts looked pretty...More

For the amount of money they must be making from car parking you'd think they could invest in some decent machines to collect the cash. It's expensive (£5 for 3 hours) but you need a pocketful of coins as the machines don't take notes or...More

Yes, although I would suggest keeping dogs on leads due to live stock but awesome views. Visit the Hungry Hiker after your walk as they have a good selection of light bites.
