Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

We went here for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. The walk around the vineyard was spectacular, made even better by the lovely weather! We then opted for the wine and cheese tasting which was very interesting learning about the locally grown and produced products. Finally we had lunch in the restaurant enjoying fresh seafood cooked in the outside... More

Popped in on the off chance they were open as we were going past about 4pm, to our delight they were. We had a glass of wine each and sat in the gorgeous sunshine around the barrel, the kids and dogs enjoyed the rest too. Came away with 6 bottles and some lovely double cream cheese which we devoured that... More

I thoroughly recommend a wine tasting and lunch or afternoon tea alfresco above the vineyard. Great wines grown and produced on site with good locally sourced food. The blue label and fizzy are my especial favourites whenever I go out in Totnes.

Drove miles down a beautiful track, only to be totally disappointed when we reached our destination. We were really looking forward to a wine and cheese tasting and like to support local producers. But we were told (very dismissively) that their website was wrong and we would have to go for a walk for over an hour, before they could... More

What a lovely shop and wine bar, amazing views and great staff. We popped in to have a little taste of their wine and cheese and weren't disappointed! No wonder they have won awards! Also, the staff certainly know their products! Thank you for a great afternoon - We will be back :-)

We had looked forward to a visit to Sharpham but although it was open we felt as though we were a nuisance, nobody asked us if we would like to do any tasting of any kind. Although we bought a few items from the shop we all went away wishing we hadn't as the service and welcome was so poor.

I and my two companions had been looking forward to a wine and cheese tasting experience, unfortunately this was not to be. We found the assistant not at all commutative he did not explain anything. He gave us 4 wines to taste a leaflets with notes on the wine and left. He never asked if we had any preferences or any... More

Roy and his colleague were very accomodating during our visit to this beautiful vineyard. Although the "Trek and Taste" tour was finishing for the season they managed to squeeze us in for the last one. Roy gave an informative and interesting talk about the estate and winemaking process. The wines and cheeses we tasted were delicious. Well worth a visit... More

We discovered Sharpham's wines by chance after sampling one at dinner at a Michelin star restaurant. This led us to arrange a visit to sample more. We were not disappointed. Great place to visit, they make the wine tasting fun and informative. You get to choose how many and which wines you taste and there is also the opportunity to... More

Sampled about half a dozen of the Sharpham wines and brought a dozen. It is a beautiful location just above the River Dart - also has a very informal outdoor eating area - but very popular and reservations had obviously been made as we could not stay! Serving local fish specialties - and of courser their own home-made cheeses. Vineyard... More
