Cockington Country Park surrounds the picture postcard Cockington Village which lies just off the seafront near Torquay. The Country Park is free to walk around and features beautiful formal gardens, lakes and woodlands which can be enjoyed via a network of paths.

Cockington Court and Cafe are nearby, along with a collection of craft studios where you can browse the creations of local artists and crafts people.

The park is well worth a visit and is within walking distance of Torquay. The grounds are pretty and there is a stunning and very historic church which is a must. There is a coffee shop and several lovely shops selling interesting, high quality crafts.

Remembered this place from years ago and little has changed. Lovely little gift shop and great pub. The Drum Inn. Last time we came when the kids were little and the lakes had huge fish in them. The gardens on his visit were been cared for but still had the winter look. Great place and fun for kids to run... More

Excellent for a good weather walk, particularly if you have a dog or two. The new pond clearance is a great improvement and the flowers in bloom were a magnificent sight. The cafe is also a good stopping off point for a refreshing cuppa and light snacks.

This is one of the most beautiful placee in Torbay, very quiet and serene, The whole place is gorgeous, thatch cottages abound, the big house and lawns are lovely. I can't fault the place, been going there for the best part of 55 years. Horses drawn carriages, the forge, just beautiful. A haven to be admired.

Enjoy a stunning walk through beautiful gardens and lovely building. Visit on of the few cafes/bistro style venues for a great Devon cream tea then walk it off down to the duck ponds. There are very few better places to enjoy a sunny afternoon. But don't forget your change for parking :)

If it's the weekend and in the summer you might watch a cricket match. The grounds are good for taking your... More

I live near Cockington and so have visited tons of times. It is beautiful - a great place to take a walk as a couple, with the dog or take the children to play. I've done all three and have spent lots of times watching my now grown up daughter running back and forth around the park. Cockington Court is... More

Went for a visit to Cockington the lovely thatched village. You access the park through a gate next to a paying car park. Once in the park you will find the village church so old and full of history. The large house which has a tea room, gift shop and registry office used for marriages. And throughout the grounds you... More

Went here for a nice Sunday morning walk and there are loads of lovely paths to take around the area. You'll see lots of dog walkers and children as it's that type of place - very friendly. Just park in the main car park and follow the signs. There are two cafes in the park so you'll have a choice... More
