Built in 1926 this fabulous, funicular railway has transported hundreds of thousands of people up and down the cliffs from Babbacombe to Oddicombe. Popular with holidaymakers and locals a trip to the English Riviera is not complete without a visit to this lovely railway. Down on Oddicombe Beach there is a gorgeous, hidden away beach with seasonal watersports and a great bar/bistro/café. Perfect family beach.

This is a very quaint and pleasant ride down to a very attractive beach. Oddicombe Beach is one of my children's favourites in all of Torbay. The service runs frequently, every few minutes, and harks back to the pre-war vintage era of elegant travel. The...More

A unique experience in that part of Devon. A lot of time and effort has been spent to update the railway. Lovely beach & sea views.

First visit to the cliff railway since the storms in March, they have renovated to a high standard, don't forget to ask for a family ticket, a must to try on your visit to Torbay. Anthony n

The Cliff Railway to Oddicombe Beach is the easiest way to reach the beach. For the price of £2.80 return, it is great value too.

Took the Cliff Railway service to Oddicombe Beach and Three Degrees West cafe and it was a bargain at 2.80 return when you consider the maintenance that goes into keeping such a historical transport system up and running. The view is pretty even on a...More

Loved my descent and ascent to and from Oddicombe beach. Pleasant staff too. Loved the museum on the beachside. reminded me of the Bridgnorth Funicular railway in my early days.
