Excellent for walking and cycling. There are so many tracks to go off over the moorland it is difficult to make a choice. Lots of lovely picnic spots and of course the ice cream van!

Burrator reservoir is a couple miles from Yelverton and about 12 miles from Plymouth. It is a lovely walk of about 4miles around and takes around 90 minutes, its also well used by cyclist.

Just a great place to walk, all on the flat, parking is not great, but if you go early in the morning not to bad.give yourself between 1 and 2hrs to walk around the reservoir. Depending on pace. Grab yourself an ice cream.

We visit Burrator Reservoir with our daughters and Grandchildren. No cost involved, always take a picnic. Children climb trees, ride their bikes, create their own play, use their imagination. Need more country side locations for children.
