I have enjoyed so many different genres in the Drum, from professional touring companies to locally produced theatre and local amateur productions including from the Theatre Royal's very own TR2. It offers a little bit of something different.

Being a Janner (native Plymothian) I have been to many different shows in the Drum - for something a bit different and more intimate you can't beat it. It is very reasonably priced as well. Recommended!

Drum theatre is a smaller theatre attached to the main theatre royal. The production I saw here was very good, you got really involved in the performance and has an amazing atmosphere & at such a reasonable price.

Small theatre attached to the main one, have seen about 3 productions here and have always been surprised at the quality. different type of theatre, shorter time wise and value for money if you want to experience something probably a little quirky

The Drum is a really good Studio style theatre with a good rake and reasonably versatile performance space. Most seats have an excellent view. We have been twice in consecutive years while visiting the area and have seen two very different productions. Most recently we...More
