We have stayed at Royal William Yard on 4 occasions all in different apartments, excellent apartments and excellent position for getting into the town centre and getting around. Good choice of restaurants . Local bus now comes into the yard to take you to the town centre along with water bus which goes to the Barbican. If you are fit... More

Great place to go if you are out with Friends or Family - Loads of Pub type restaurant, Bistro, Italian, Noodles and various other eating places to visit. There is a nice feel to the place, but the only downside is you have to watch out for the dreaded Private Parking Prats as they will ruin your day for you... More

Well worth the visit. Popular with the 'younger' set but we oldies had a lovely meal and drinks and managed to visit two of the bars/bistro's and did not feel out of place. Plenty of room for kids to run around and when all the renovations are finished it will be wonderful.

As Plymouth residents we regularly visit the RWY. However I feel the recent changes to parking charges are a step in the wrong direction! Why have they opted for a pre pay option?? I take it the changes have been made to encourage visitors to stay for only 2 hours and thus a greater number of visitors can be catered... More

First time we visited after hearing so much and was not disappointed This place has views walks and great eating place to choice from. They have done an amazing job here to create something special. As loads have wrote the car park is a bit of a rip off, over two hoirs is a £5, but park somewhere different and... More

The amazing Royal William Yard, named after the reigning King when it was constructed in 1825. Now being restored and home to a number of top rated Restaurants located in these wonderful "Listed Buildings". Rather appropriately since the "Yard" started it`s life as the "Victualling Yard" for the Royal Navy. Plymouth University lease part of one of the Buildings as... More

It is lovely to just walk around to see the lovely buildings. There are several restaurants to choose from some more like a pub with grub, some with a shop to one side, some just restaurants and some have outside seating. There are sometimes special events held there such as music festivals. Lovely atmosphere.

This is an interesting place to visit, although I was disappointed that nowhere seemed to be open apart from the eateries. This was last week and I think at Easter the place will be popular and extremely busy. All we did was walk around, take in the amazing buildings and go for a coffee, which was a shame as I... More

A great place to visit and amble around or visit one of the many great cafes and restaurants. Always a favourite of ours and will continue to visit despite the now highly expensive parking that has come into operation. What a shame is it really necessary at this price particularly if you go over 2 hrs. There is some free... More

What was an old naval yard has been transformed into an area with restaurants, which I believe are quite expensive, and living accommodation. Located in a lovely location and great to stroll around and take in the magnificent views. We walked along the coast from the Plymouth Hoe, which took us about 30 minutes.
