A classic easy 2.5 mile circular walk along a relatively level section of the South West Coast Path between Lynton and the spectacular Valley of Rocks. As well as the stunning scenery, the Valley of Rocks are home to a herd of feral goats and the rare Exmoor pony.

We love Lynmouth and try to come here as often as we can, usually around the time of our anniversary in November. Beautiful walk to the valley of the rocks this morning. Gorgeous autumn sunshine, lovely views. What more could you ask for.

Whilst touring in North Devon we decided to visit Lynton n Lynmouth for the day. No trip to this area would be complete without a visit to the Valley of the Rocks. Being short if time we drove the short distance from Lynton and were lucky enough to find a space to park our car. We opted for the more... More

This makes a pleasant circular 45 min walk from Lynton with views across the water to Wales. The path is good quality Tarmac and there are lots of benches en route. Whilst the path is easy, there is a big drop so care would need to be taken with children or the infirm. Quite a lot of goat's droppings on... More

A must for all walkers and lovers of Devon ruggedness. Amazing sea views from the top. Pass along to Lee Abbey to enjoy the view and forest there too.

Wonderful views over stunning clifftop scenes from a good quality tarmac path. Don't miss it. Mother Meldrum's nearby is another draw.

This is an excellent place to visit. It is a gentle walk from Lynton to the valley, which can be extended with a scramble up the rocks, or down to the bay beyond. The rock features are impressive - it is worth buying the booklet from the cafe that describes the theories of their formation. The wild goats are a... More

An easy, long walk along the cliffs to this amazing place. Great for photo shoots and relatively easy to get to. Those who like a challenge can go on the rocks rather than around them. Kids will see all kinds of creatures in the rock shapes.

Thanks for your review but I think you've confused us with another business. This is the Valley of the Rocks walk managed by the South West Coast Path and not a hotel. I hope you had the opportunity to walk some of the South West Coast Path whilst in Lynton. More
