Lovely Cathedral

Visited this cathedral and it is a must see when visiting Exeter so much history. We didn't partake in a tour but they offer those.

I was looking forward to seeing Inside but on entering the Cathedral we were confronted by a sour faced woman sitting at the entrance kiosk where we were informed the cost would be £10 each to walk around! With a family of 5 we didn't have that sort of money to blow and were very disappointed not being able to... More

Thanks for visiting. Do take one of the guided tours next time you're in Exeter - they're included in admission and are really popular with our visitors. More

Love the Cathedral. It is really beautiful and worth a visit. But the best time of the year is December, when you can find a Christmas Market on the grounds

Hi there Guildford11. I'm glad you enjoy the Christmas Market. This year the market is being run by the events team here at the Cathedral; part of the work is finalising the dates but we hope that it will run from mid November until just before Christmas, as before. More

A Beautiful Building with lots of history but much too expensive at £7.50 per head ( we were a family of four so would have been looking at £30) would have been happy to donate but I don't agree with the mandatory entrance fee which excludes so many from sharing this gem.

Good morning Moonbeam555. I'm sorry that you decided not to visit the Cathedral. We do offer concessions for seniors, and admission for under 18s in a family group is free, all in an effort to make sure that a visit is affordable for families. Our admission charge helps towards keeping the Cathedral open to the public (we receive no regular... More

Surprisingly amazing interior, a masterpiece of the gothic style! Very well maintained cathedral with historic and unique background. Check out the organ!

Enjoyed our visit to the cathedral, was early on a Monday so felt like we had it to ourselves. Volunteers all welcoming to young children and the Easter egg hunt and added bonus. We were however a little stumped by one of the anagrams on the Easter worksheet and should have gone back to ask!

The cathedral is stunning from the outside and inside . There is a fee to go in but as a local I can visit for the next year free. But if you are only visiting for private prayer you can go in free. The nave and it's decorated roof is one of the best in England . The history attached... More
