Situated above shops this museum tells the fascinating history of the building and of Dartmouth. A 17 century merchants house where King Charles the second held court in 1671.

Visited for about two hours. I especially liked the WW2 exhibits but there was plenty about the development of Dartmouth over the years. £2 entry, free to children <12 years.

Three rooms full of Dartmouth history at a nominal price. Interesting displays and exhibits, including a powerful section on Dartmouth's slave trade connection. Wonderful volunteers who were happy to help.

This is a treasure trove of local history spread over 4 rooms. There is lots of information around the exhibits and the volunteers are very helpful. There is a small shop too. The entry fee is very low.

What a great little museum in the heart of town. It's only small but packed with interesting information about Dartmouth. We could have spent most of the day looking at the old photos and newspapers. We will definitely be back

Lovely welcome from the staff and although small, there were enough exhibits and things to examine to keep the kids amused for a short while.

Nice little museum, interesting, loved the war film and artefacts, only £2.00 to go in, worth a visit to support the town.
