Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St Ives. Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1 1/2 hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can be made by Mel, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. Or phone to book

Knowledgeable, helpful staff, mindful of passengers safety and considerate to the seals respecting their environment. Amazing sight, photo opportunities but staying a distance from seals to not disturb them too much. Wonderful experience, sad to leave! stunning scenery and environment, great memories, very good trip......better than expected....highly recommended

The only reason why im writing this review is to warn peoples. Me and my wife ment to take boat trip but in the and we decided not to and i think that was a good decision. The biggest minus from what we saw was the way You had to board the boats. There is a small motorboat that You... More

Just come back from a boat ride to seal island and it was simply fantastic. We booked our tickets with a friendly chap on the pier who was very helpful. He told us everything we needed to know and that we could take our dog on for free. The boat ride to seal island was very good and when we... More

My family and I took a boat trip on Dolly P to Seal Island. It was amazing!! Even before we left the harbour we were visited by a friendly seal. Lovely boat ride up to the island, where we saw plenty of seals basking on the rocks of the island, and many more in the water, curiously approaching the boat.... More

The trip on Dolly P to see the seals was nice enough, however the problem was the smaller boat you get onto to go back to shore. It was quite clearly too choppy for us to be out and the guy steering the boat couldn't moor it because of the huge waves so he immediately turned us round back in... More
