Great place, beach cafe with shop, terrace for a drink etc, putting green, toilets, tennis, and a restaurant which is quite expensive. Beautiful beach, scenery and fabulous views over to st Ives.

Lovely beach, golden sands, water sports and swimming. You can hire deck chairs and water sports equipment. Fantastic cafe /restaurant. Also café on the beach selling hot and cold food, ice cream etc.. EAGER ICE CREAM LOVING SEAGULLS. BE WARNED.

Porthminster beach has everything you need! A great shop with reasonable prices. A nice restaurant and a good little takeaway cafe. Reasonably clean public toilets and a short walk into town! Beware of the seagulls they will steal food out your hands! But other than...More

One of the loveliest beaches I have been to. Clean and with lots of amenities. Friendly lifegaurds and staff. Safe and child friendly. The only downside are the seagulls who can be a real pain. We have witnessed many unsuspecting people have their ice creams...More

Beautiful Cornish town with a strong accent on beach activities, history and art. Plenty of places for both food and drink to satisfy everyone.

Lucky to have seen many beaches around the world & Porthminster Beach is right up there! Beautiful & big in every way. Plenty to do & must see when visiting St Ives. The photos do not do it justice!!

It's flat so great for paddle boarding. They do hire surf boards but you do surfing on the beach on the other side of St. Ives.

There in April and you couldn't take your dog on the beach then. However Porthgwidden beach nearby allows dogs.
