My Partner and I visited the Minack Theatre with our two dogs. This is just a truly beautiful place. Built my Rowena Cade across the whole of her lifetime from shortly after the First World War to her death in 1983. A truly magnificent achievement. The theatre is open the whole year round. We went at the end of October... More

Provided the weather is kind this theatre is absolutely fantastic and is a must for everyone. The only place I have been to where an opera is suspended because of dolphins playing in the bay.

What a phenomenal location! Gorgeous bay and views along the coastline. Even if you don't get the timing right to go to a show, take a jaunt down the steps and see the view.

Our first visit to the minack theatre, perhaps not at the best time of year ( November) although we were really lucky with the weather that day, blue skies and some winter sun. Fabulous views over the sea and to the left a beautiful sandy beach. The whole story of how it was built is so interesting I would love to... More

Absolutely magical spot! What an amazing story and we still can't get our head round how it's all been done. We just popped here for a look but will definitely be looking into seeing a production here in the future. Doggy friendly too!

The vision if an extraordinary woman. Rowena Cade. Who built the Minack theater with the assistance of her gardener. beautiful location. Turquoise sea. Unfortunately did not see any seals - but apparently they do make an appearance. Caution with the very steep steps. But you can access some of the theatre if disabled. Well worth sitting in the cafe and... More

Visiting this place it's a bit surreal, you know you are in England but feels like you are in antique Greece. We are pretty lucky with the weather, was hot and the sun was shining. Great day out, definitely worth a visit.

The Minack open air Theatre has fascinated me since I first saw it featured on one of many TV features. The vision of one lady, who managed to sell the idea to others, it became reality and now, in my view, has become one of Cornwall’s best attractions. Set just 4-5 miles from Lands End it has been cut out... More

An astonishing creation sitting on the cliffs above Porthcurno, this place is beautiful in the daytime and magical at night. The cafe serves great food with a view. If you visit for a show be aware that this theatre applaudes amateur productions, but having said that companies I've watched have never failed to amaze me. Just a great all round... More
