We visited in winter, during covid restrictions, and sadly no shows to watch, but still an absolute joy to see this beautiful outdoor theatre on a stunning cliff edge and learn about the amazing lady who created it. We were very fortunate to get a (mostly) sunny break in the weather to walk round and enjoy a hot drink on the stone seats, all engraved with names of past shows. Hope to return one day to see a show. Such a production challenge in this unique location. Well worth a visit!

The site is beautiful, the staff are very friendly; I will certainly come back for a live performance. Be aware that there are a number of steep steps and the views are pretty much weather dependent. PS: Rowena is a legend.

You have to visit this place at least once in your life. Its an amazing open air theatre that you can watch shows or just visit for a look around and enjoy the views. Its not the sort of place that you will spend hours in but just to take in the view and sit in the stone seats is stunning. There are coastal path walks from this site so you can do more if you wish but they are a bit rugged. There is a little cafe selling hot drinks and snacks but of course at the moment they are only takeaway.

I didn't realise until I saw a TV show that the Minak was only built in the 1920s. The appeal was always that it was an ancient arena that you could picture in use 100s of years ago. Turns out that's not true. Without that appeal its just a flippin uncomfortable stone seat in a very cold and windy location. The plays are OK but I'd rather just go to a modern theatre.
