Visited Trengwainton for the first time on a sunny spring Sunday. The magnolias were not yet at their peak, but the camellias were putting on a good display, and we were impressed at the state of the gardens considering the damage done by the recent...More

A lovely place for a walk with stunning gardens and views. Have a nice walk up the drive then onto the terrace for a view of the sea. Walk down through the gardens alongside the stream and suck in the atmosphere. The staff are very...More

Visited here today, had a lovely time walking around. Unfortunately we couldn't appreciate the wonderful views from the top of the garden due to the mizzle but will go back another day and check it out. They have a well stocked 2nd hand bookshop, a...More

Trengwainton is a delight whatever the season. I was amazed at the variety already on show in early April - tons of colour and interesting plants and trees, plus plenty of birds darting about. The walks are designed to encourage gentle rambling and, even when...More

We always enjoy our visit to this garden at any time of year, it's a lovely walk with a beautiful view. The food at the cafe is delicious (the orange polenta cake is excellent and the coleslaw is better than any other I've had) and...More

We visited this garden on 3rd April 2018. We came away rather disappointed. Because of the very cold weather over the previous weeks, all the plants were far behind their usual state at that time of year. There were some camelias out which looked nice...More

The gardens were lovely as ever. Camelias just past their best and azaleas and magnolia in bud only. Different all year. Busy with egg hunters but we had a leisurely walk finishing in the splendid cafe.

We had a wander around the gardens on a very cold and windy day. There wasn't much out due to the time of year but still saw a few rhododendrons starting to flower. Plenty of trees and other shrubs to see as you wander the...More

Went here with our dogs beautiful gardens although not everything out at this time of year lots of lovely trails to walk and spectacular sea views at the end. Very nice tea rooms where you can sit on terrace outside with dogs.

Gardens were superb - in spite of lots of very recent snow/weather damage. Garden staff and reception staff very helpful and friendly. NT restaurant is the best one we have eaten at. Staff were friendly and professional. Food as good as any normal restaurant.
