Fistral is a lovely beach that I always visited when I was a child. Now I enjoy taking my children here. There are rock pools to explore, ice Cream shop and a shopping parade at one of the ends. The only thing is that it gets VERY busy during the summer so you might want to get there early.

A great beach with good facilities. Brilliant surf beach but with sand, dunes and rock pools for families. A good range of eating and drinking places as well as a small range of beach and surfwear shops. Use the car park system carefully and you won't be caught out! Walkable from the town centre. Plenty of cliff walks available too.

Principally, this beach is used by dedicated surfing people (which I am not - too old!), but for a holiday visitor, the cliff-top overlooking the bay offers a nice view, watching the Atlantic rollers coming ashore. One word of warning though: keep away from the rocks at the eastern end of the sands. The hotel I always stay at when... More

What a wonderful expanse of sand. We don't surf, but it was fun watching those who did. It was very popular.

We went to Fistrel beach, as we were staying nearby. The surfers were entertainment and we'll worth watching. The beach has lovely golden sand and the water is clear. There were dogs being exercised but their owners were picking up the "packages". I don't know if they are banned in the summer season. A beautiful beach worth visiting.
