So many people are missing out on fabulous shops by not climbing the steps up into the rows. For example: a fabulous cafe called Burlingtons and an interesting shop called Rainforest. It is also much calmer and sheltered from the elements.

Visited here as part of weekend trip. Enjoyable views and scenic. Very historic and easy to move round. Locals very welcoming and friendly especially the resident artist near the clock. Great signage so you could not get confused 😐

Loads of different shops set into the rows.. Places to eat and shop til you drop. Quirky and different. Definitely adds to the charm of Chester.

I would definitely recommend this area to anyone who loves Victorian history and architecture of any kind. So many beautiful buildings and structures. Shops galore! Love to see them using the buildings already there and preserving history! Amazing!

As it says - the rows were built hundreds of years ago to allow the landed gentry to shop without getting their feet dirty or muddy. 'Normal' folk had to wade through al;l kinds od debris and mud to shop. A great adventure for all...More

Hi Sarah, First of all, I apologise for not responding sooner; I have been away for a few days. It is my understanding that the rows are open between 10.30 and 17.00 on Sundays although some say they open at 11.00. Then on... More
