Decided to go on the open top old style tour bus, despite the chilly wind we sat on the top deck and the tour was run by Jerry (driver) and Barbara (guide). The tour lasts approx 35 mins and was full of interesting facts interspersed with jokes from Barbara. Thoroughly enjoyed it and glad we did it.

The most charming & enthusiastic Liz lead us on a 90+ minute tour of Chester including the city walls, The Rows, the cathedral etc. etc. Historical and other fascinating information was given throughout, and I have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone, What a top city Chester is.

Had a half day tour around the town during weekend. Love the architecture, and you may need to spend a half day there if you consider to visit every corner in the town. Several place with beautiful art and graffiti on the wall, don't miss it.

We were a party of ten who pre-booked the tour several weeks before the event. We took the Sat morning tour with Pat and it turned out to be very enjoyable. Pat was full of little anecdotes and little-known facts about the city. The only downside was the size of the group. Because of the locations we visited (e.g. the... More

We were amazingly entertained by Alan on a 90 mins walking tour. He was a super energetic 80 year old Guild guide who knew so much and was extremely passionate about sharing his knowledge. If we hadn't had a guide, we would have missed so many features. Best £16 value for a family ticket. Chester has a lot to offer.... More

On Christmas Day (!) we gathered with tour guide John who gave us a mega anecdotal tour for 90 minutes. Having spent midnight in the cathedral it was magical to get more history layers explained, he did it with great passion for which I thank him. Weather was cold and perhaps we lingered beside ancient monuments which tell the story... More

Great guide, with an awesome knowledge of chesters ghosts and a wonderful way of interacting and bringing her 'victims' together into her storytelling. Learnt so much about the history and saw some places hadn't been to before. Definately worth going, truly fascinating, thankyou.

This tour was OK but i have to disagree with the tour guide Mary Ann who repeatedly told us how Chester has it over York. York was way better. Mary Anne did show some stuff that you wouldn't see without a guide so the tour is worth doing if you have the time. The Roman tour is very good though.

We had an 80 year old man lead our tour of 6 people. He was more energetic & enthusiastic than any man half his age! He was so knowledgeable & very interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour. What a great city!!
