They’re walls, and they surround Chester, so that’s a +1 right there. Not a huge amount to say, but there are lots of plaques with information around if you’re visiting as a tourist, and you can walk right under Eastgate Clock. There are nice views...More

Went for a walk around the walls today and although done it a hundred times, I keep forgetting how amazing they are. You get to walk history and also get unbelievable views of the City, River and Racecourse.

We enjoyed our walk along the city walls. It was good to get some views at some of the vantage points. We were disappointed that part way round the walls ran at street level on the inside of the wall. That made it feel more...More

A pre-breakfast walk made very special by great early morning light for photographs and no one else in sight. A very special experience to savour.

We had a lovely peaceful walk on the Walls of Chester..at the end along the river tucked in at the side of the wall is a lovely little tea shop. Well worth a nip in to refresh yourself after a long walk.

We really enjoyed walking and exploring the walls. There a many great views and photo opportunities. The history is well documented on various plaques around the walls.

Enjoy these 2000 year old walls which are complete around the city of Chester. They are the only complete Walls in the country and a nice walk around.

Awesome history and culture. Amazing to think that these were used to protect the city in years gone by. Truly amazing

Loads of car parks in the centre, Grosvenor Hotel car park entrance - 1 mins to walls. Law Courts / river area car parks - 1 mins to wall. Race course / Market area car parks (lots of them) - 1 mins to walks - hope this helps

Yes 100% but some parts are very narrow and best to keep your dog on its lead xx
