My husband and I recently visited Chester for our wedding anniversary. We reserved a table for afternoon tea; it was beautiful room, lovely atmosphere with the piano being played, friendly and helpful staff and the food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful afternoon tea and cake with live piano player in a cool large historic room. Staff friendly. Not the cheapest place but worth it.
