Just an enjoyable short trip along the old quarry railway, sitting in old London underground carriages. Run by volunteers who are very knowledgeable and friendly.

We had a great time on the Alderney train with our three year old. It’s a good way to get a different view of the island. You can also stay and explore and get the next train back if you want. We’ve been on it...More

Worth doing as a holiday experience and not expensive at all. In good weather could just travel one way and then walk back

Our visit to Alderney was planned to coincide with an operating day of the Alderney RAILWAY. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff made for an interesting visit. Its amazing to think that the railway still exists with its limited operating days. Thanks for an informative afternoon.

This is the only railway in The Channel Islands so we thought we'd check it out. It was nice to sit down and rest our feet whilst being taken on the short trip to the lighthouse. I think the trip is a couple of miles...More

Really lovely people run this and they are helpful and friendly. We came as a group booking and then at end of rail went onto the engine and for a walk to lighthouse and some bouldering. Really good for children as well. Open only weekends...More
