Have just spent a most interesting afternoon in the company of my three granddaughters going round this beautiful display of zoological exhibits. I can thoroughly recommend it. Afterwards the Whale Cafe provided very welcome refreshments. We shall certainly return.

This was the third muesum visit of the day. A big surprise as we didn't expect too much. Again another free museum. Certain a must visit if you visit Cambridge.

I went in with my daughter on a whim. We were not disappointed - lots of exhibits and excellent accompanying notes and diagrams. Worth a visit

The new museum of zoology is a really neat little place to spend an hour. It showcases a selection of the massive collection of specimens the university has accumulated. I particularly liked the skeletons of everything from shrews to the extinct giant sloth, and a...More

Free entry to a great entrance hall with a whale skeleton hung from the ceiling. Many other skeletons that you could see close up (not all behind glass). Some information about a few of the exhibits. A new section is to be opened mid June.

The whale in the entrance hall is great (both in terms of size and my feeling about it :) ) and you can have a cup of coffee/tea/lucnh right beneath it. The gift shop has lots of cool stuff as well.

The museum is just of one of the main roads in Cambridge. Though some of the museum was closed when we visited. It offered a large selection of animals and I like the categorisation of the animals. It is informative and a great place to...More

Only a small part of the museum is currently open, but we called in on a wet afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful hour looking around and there were lots of people with young children who were clearly loving being there.
