Ate here just yesterday with the rugby. Staff were very friendly and even turned the TV over to allow us to watch the rugby whilst eating. What can I say about the food other than WOW.... I wanted to try every dish. Small sharing portions but enough to satisfy your hunger. I would recommend the beef strips and the the... More

Wanted to try this after hearing it had turned into a South American themed tapas bar. The interior is light and airy. Tables well spaced. A far cry from the dark wood of the old Emperor. The menu is about 20 items and we (2 adults & a 3 year old) needed 5 items. Prices vary a lot, so you... More

Friendly staff. Nice location - a good place to play pool and darts. You would't spent much money in this pub and the beer is good.

I used to drink in here when it was the Globe years ago and I've been in a few times pre-refurb as the Emperor. The decor has improved since the refurb but the music certainly hasn't. Because they've decided to market it as a 'tapas' pub some bright spark has decided that they'll only play this toe-curlingly dire latino music... More

We went for lunch in a larger group so ordered many of the dishes on the menu. All dishes were beautifully presented. All food was very good, not a dish we regretted ordering. The mussels and yucca were a favourite. Mussels were not chewy. The prawns tender. The bar tables and bar stools made for good people watching. Good for... More

This was my first visit since the refurbishment. The beer quality is good but the pub is very noisy! A wide range of ales and beer are served!

With a nice beer garden, great food and good ales, we had a fantastic evening. Staff was very friendly. It will definitely be our local pub this summer. :-)

Nothing bad to say just that the menu didn't really appeal to me its ok for pizzas or salad, or cheesy chips which i ended up having. I found the prices about average for Cambridge. Im not keen of the interior it looks nice from the outside but inside it feels like its missing soothing. I wasn't overly keen on... More
