If you love Roald Dahl books then this is really fascinating and enjoyable for all the family. There is plenty of interactive content for kids with storytelling etc. GM is a small town so parking can be tough and it gets busy. Small cafe but great cakes! Also allow enough time to go and see his grave at the local... More

If I could have another day out there I would take it, even if I was offered a chocolate cake if I didn't take it. Review by my six year old son, word for word

Following a very lacklustre visit to the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden we made our way to Aylesbury and found this little gem. There is a gallery devoted to Roald Dahl with lots of fun exhibits that are informative and interactive. There is a fantastic lift and even I crawled through the tunnel inspired by The Fantadtic Mr Fox.... More

This is quite a small museum, but there is lots for children to do, dressing up, games etc. It is quite expensive, but it is situated inside the Buckinghamshire Museum which is quite interesting with free entry. We took a picnic as they have a nice garden with eating area. Unfortunately, it was a wet day so couldn't sit outside.... More

This attraction was the highlight of your young son's 'Roald Dahl road trip'. It isn't a huge venue...so probably could get very busy and crowded. But we went on a Monday (google states closed, but they are open on Mondays during summer holidays), so that's possibly why it was so quiet. Good value for money, and you can go in... More

Small Gallery alongside the Bucks Museum but you have to pay to get in. Took an 8yr old to visit, who knew his Roald Dahl but exhibits didn't seem to interest him despite a bit of prodding from some helpful staff. Some of the exhibits weren't working properly. Completely empty given it was a Sunday in school hols ? Expected... More

Fun, informative and interactive. If you want to take a toddler to a Roald Dahl museum, this is a better option than the one in Great Missenden, that is aimed for older children. It doesn't mean older children won't enjoy it as well.

We visited the children's gallery with two grandsons and they loved it all. The "glass elevator" was especially attractive to them, and they loved all of the interactive hands-on exhibits. A bit pricey but good fun.
