A Joy For the Eye and The Taste Buds!
A delightful variety of of independent retailers in the historic centre of Bristol. Divided into three covered sections and linked to the Corn Exchange the market is full of characteristic stalls offering a wide variety of items. Some wonderful food stalls nearby offer a world wide selection of tasty meals, cooked on the spot, but be prepared to queue!

    Awesome Shopping and Great Food
Great time walking through the shopping arcade and the food stalls. So many choices for food. I enjoyed breakfast here at Crafty Beans, then wandered and shopped . Lots of clothing booths, gift stores, antiques etc.

    Great for a solo lunch
I made a day trip to Bristol from London. After exploring some of the city, I headed to St. Nicholas Market for lunch. The main food hall was bustling, which made for a great vibe. And there was a wide and appealing selection of vendors for lunch, ranging from Middle Eastern vendors brimming with colorful salads to more traditional English foods. The only bummer was to see a couple of the stalls occupied by chain vendors with locations elsewhere. Still, a great place for lunch, especially as a solo traveler. The other halls (shops, etc.) were fun to explore—bit of a flea market feel. I was surprised that so many of the vendors were closed on a bustling weekend, though. Overall, a great addition to the list when visiting Bristol—great food, pretty buildings, interesting history.

‘Although it’s not the biggest market I’ve visited, there’s more than enough stalls and shops to explore.’
This market is nestled in the city centre. Although it’s not the biggest market I’ve visited, there’s more than enough stalls and shops to explore. We went on Saturday and although it was raining, there were quite a few street vendors selling jewellery, candles etc and we foolishly didn’t explore the market fully. They have an indoor part to the market, which homes a small organic café, which attracted a lot of customers, with stalls selling clothing, children’s toys and souvenirs. We revisited on Sunday and unfortunately it was like a ghost town, a few of the shops were open but once we had a look online, there was quite a few street food vendors that were closed on the day which we revisited. As Sunday’s are quite popular day for markets, it’s a shame that not everywhere was open. Overall, a nice market with a nice range of options. But if you’re planning on visiting on a Sunday then I wouldn’t bother.

    Go!
Great little market, reminiscent of Camden when it was cooler! Great food options- so much choice. Wish we’d been able to visit more than once. Shame the food stalls all close by 5, would be nice if some were open a bit later at the weekend. Pulled pork box was superb & amazing value for money!

    Quaint Market in City Centre
We visited St. Nicholas Market during our holiday in Bristol. It is located on Corn Street in the Heart of the Old City. During our leisurely walk we admired the interesting variety of independent traders and took a look at the wonderful food stalls which offered a world-wide selection of meals cooked on the spot. We very much enjoyed the experience of this historic Market!

The building itself is really nice, and there are a few stalls that have good options for buying gifts, and a place that sells high-quality T-shirts. Otherwise it's a bit hit-and-miss for shopping - quite a few of the stalls sell the exact same clothing as each other, so it would be nice if there was more variety - but there are lots of cheap food options if you're there at lunchtime.

This is a market with a variety of stalls e.g. fossils, scarves and hats, retro t-shirts, Japonicat, and a handmade glass shop Mivart, as well as food stalls. Nice for a couple of hours walk around.
