After all this is Bristols history and lots going on to watch. Cross the water & complete the loop, various stopping points along the way & if its too much various yellow boat bus-stops to take you back central

Bristol Docks is filling up with ships and boats of all types a number of which are operational. There is a tug from 1861 one of several. A fireboat, schooners and frieghters and passenger vessels. Some of the old cranes are still there including a steam crane. Steam engines run along the harbour rails on certain days giving rides. 'M'... More

If you like to stroll by water, this is perfect. Plenty of room to stroll. There are diversions which take you off at tangents into other cafes, museum/attractions and places of interest, but we liked the lack of hassle by the water. It's a peaceful walk but so full of views, of water-traffic, wildlife and of other people (some living... More

Tip your camera upright for some great pictures of the huge cranes. Look across the river at the colourful buildings again reflected in the water! Photograph the old... More

Lovely place to visit, lots of boats to look at, lots of places to stop off and get a drink and food. Defo more a hot day walk around, unless you wrap up warm.

The walk around the city docks offers a great opportunity to see Bristol at its best, nice cafes, flat stroll and a variety of venues and sights to see. The circuit is well sign posted, about 2 miles and is lovely in any weather.

Does what expected. Good walk around available and numerous eateries and bars. Council need clear up way more. Most large cities clean incessantly during the day at prime locations. Bristol does not.
