We took a family trip to tick off the Gromit located at Chew Lakes. The cafe/restaurant was very busy and in the sunshine, there was plenty of space to enjoy a picnic. We attempted to follow one of the trails around the lake, but it...More

Visited Chew Valley Lake whilst holidaying in Wookey Hole. First the good bits - car parking is good, being clean, tidy and well laid out to take in the views. Picnic bays provide some privacy and protection from the wind. Bugbears? Main one is signage....More

We were here on a lovely sunny day in April and the view was stunning. This attraction now has a children's play area which keeps them entertained and a very good cafe restaurant serving excellent food

Two car parks both cost £2. Dogs can’t go on all the walks and have to be kept on a lead at all times due to the wild life. Cafe also did take away. Walks not as long as I expected.

Hoped to walk around the lake but didn’t find the path if indeed there is one!? Stopped at the cafe for pot of tea and a slice of cake...a tad chilly to sit outside ( as had dog) but then it is February!

Evening Roland When we visited we did see craft on the lake but best check that you can with the boating club ( situated next to the lake)

Sorry no you can only walk your dogs from the car park outside the cafe to the 2nd car park then it's a small bridge ove a stream which is the limit for dogs. Humans can walk further but could not as we had a dog.
