Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Since it stopped being a working port clever planning has turned the harbour into a really splendid feature of the city, attracting a great number of visitors

Nice harbour to visit , plenty to do & see , a small museum on the harbour well worth a look in , plenty of cafes & places to sit & eat .this harbour seems to go on forever as you turned corners there was more to see . Didn’t see it all so another visit may be one day .
Would recommend.

Bristol Floating Harbour was opened in 1809, basically forming an area where the water did not ebb and flow with the tide which allows ships to remain afloat. The area became Bristol Docks, which closed in the 1970s. Since then the area has become basically a leisure area and houses many attractions for tourists to visit, such as M Shed, Millennium Square, We The Curious and others. There are also a host of cafés, bars and restaurants in the area. I spent the best part of a day here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a leisurely stroll around the harbour, admiring the boats, visiting MShed, Millennium Square, traversing the Pero Bridge with its many padlocks, turning the corner by the Arnolfini, admiring Cabot's statue, and then down The Grove (where the Thekla used to be moored - a famous music venue), then down Welsh Back to Bristol Bridge and on down Baldwin Street. A nice circular trip. And it didn't cost a penny!

A really nice place, great for a stroll - especially on a sunny day! Plenty of places to rest and interesting architecture - a good place to explore

The cafe was wonderful. We sat in the sun watching the activity whilst we drank a lovely cappuccino and ate flapjack. Highly recommended.

Amazing part of Bristol. Plenty to see, Mshed ( museum) and free . Millenium square ( lots of restaurants and bars, or just walk around taking in the atmosphere . @bristol ( hands on activities for both adults and children. Until September there is the Gromit trail you can search for Gromits around the harbour side and city centre . Free maps are available at the Mshed or you can download the app for £1.99 with the proceeds going to charity

Whilst staying at The Bristol loved waking up to the harbour right infront of the hotel, 6am walks around it was stunning. So peaceful & tranquil watching the sun come up .
