From Amberley it is a straight walk up to the ridge which gives great views across to the sea (Bognor Butlins is a useful landmark) The views are splendid and as good as any along the South Downs way. The only down side is the...More

On a sunny day this is one of the most stunning places to be. Great walks and sweet air with great landscapes to view.

We spend a few days walking along the South downs way in October and we were lucky to have good walking weather. The route is unusual in that there was a bridleway before the footpath; (though about the first days walk does differ) so there...More

South downs magic walking, loads of heritage, pretty villages and a feeling of wide open countryside. Not easy to find in the south east.. I like trying the many country pubs along the route :)

This town was in West Sussex and includes the South Downs which is a area of green rolling hills. A beautiful country setting.
