We had we're traveling with our 5 year old and happened upon the gardens. It is a great spot for kids to walk around and learn about nature. The displays are informative. My only criticism is that it was a bit pricey.

Having grown up in Victoria but now living in Europe, we decided to take our 2.5 year old to see the butterflies and we were pleasantly surprised. It is amazing to look around and see them all as well as having them land on you....More

Great facility to get an up close encounter with butterflies and a variety of other living creatures. We enjoyed the recently added insect exhibit.

Good place to warm up from the rain. Seems small but each time you walk around the display you will see a new butterfly!

Educational and beautiful in every way. The feeding if the butterflies and the people that helped us with any questions that we may have had. Was a beautiful way to end a awesome day with my daughter!

Good if you need to kill some time or you feel like doing something that doesn't require a lot of thought! I can see it as being cool for kiddos and those who can reach for the positive aspects it has to offer.

the butterflies are butiful and the inside like a mini tropical world with other animals, good for kids or international students.

This attraction is a but touristy, but a great way for the kids to spend an afternoon seeing and learning about nature. A fairly affordable family outing often combined with a trip to Butchart Gardens.

Yes they are. We just ask that you are mindful of the other guests and that the feet stay on the paths and not in the garden beds. Thank you and enjoy your visit!
