Went for a earlier morning walk in between the rain showers which turned out to be a great hike. Not too long and very friendly for all ages. The scenery along the ocean is quiet nice and as you approach the south end (?) you could hear the sea lions from a distance enjoying their little get away on the... More

This is a beautiful hike. The first part is through forest and then it breaks into the coastline. Contrary to all the danger warnings re the coastal part of the walk, the trail is well marked with steel cables on the ground and if you walk there it is perfect and easy. You can hear the seals and sea lions... More

Lots of trails to walk along and there are many options depending on how much time you have. The views are beautiful and the trails are mostly flat and easily walkable. I highly recommend it.

This place still captivates me with its beauty and when I have visitors, I like to make sure they get to see it. The 5 km loop is mostly flat and very easy to walk. With low tide, we were able to do some beachcombing too.

Went to the park on Sunday Sept 11. It's an easy 5k walk along the coast but took us a long time because we kept stopping to take pictures as it was so pretty. Highly recommended. The island doesn't have a lot of places for food and not a lot of business open on the weekend, but Thatch pub is... More

helliwell park is a must see on hornby. Take time to do the full 5 km loop around the park. And while it’s a great path for a morning run, it’s fabulous to meander around & have time to stop & enjoy all the spectacular views.

The five km walk around Helliwell is easy and pretty with it's historic rock formations which started it's life as molten lava three hundred and fifty thousand years ago, south of the equator.( It makes a person feel pretty young). The spectacular bluffs overlooking the Salish Sea and the old growth forest is just a joy to experience. I walk... More

Beautiful walk through the forest to the edge of the island. Spectacular views all along the trails. Took us trice as long to walk the trails, because of all the picture stops we made.

Wonderful hike that has it all.... walking through the rain forest until one suddenly arrives in the meadow by the cliffs and the sea.
