We spent a week on Hornby Island and everyday on this beach. The water is warm and shallow, great for paddle boarding and floating. Clean, well kept park.

I visited Hornby Island every summer as a kid in the 70s and 80s, little has changed, and that's a good thing! We were on a beach in Marseilles in 2010 and Tribune knocks that out of the park (so to speak)!

Bring your picnic, kites, binoculars and sand castle tools to this amazing vista of a beach. There is plenty of parking and only a short trail to seaside fun. Lots of white sand, beached logs and an area with tide pools in eroded sandstone formations....More

Beautiful protected maybe 750m stretch of beach with a slow, shelved water entry. Shallow pools for skim boarding. Big low tide stretch of sand for all kinds of beach activity. Well supervised, essentially self monitored by the beach goers themselves. Everything perfect and relatively quiet....More

Have been wanting to explore Hornby for some time, and finally made it there! After a lunch of delicious tacos at Vorizo, we headed to the beach for an afternoon of exploring and swimming. My first time in the waters around here since we moved,...More

This is an amazing beach with easy access to relatively warm water to wade and play in - especially for kids! It's unique in that it has cool rocks but also sand and the tide changes are extraordinary! From low to high tide takes no...More

Long sandy beach, there were plenty of families and boats and people enjoying the day at the beach, the same as us, but did not feel crowded. The water was very clear, it has a wide shallow space before starts getting deeper, and colder. Very...More

I love the beach at Tribune Bay. Big spectacular area but if you hit the best weather like we did, look out for the masses. It's wall to wall people from one end to the other. The water was great and it's a great place...More

As above. It's nicer when the tide is in a bit because the water will be warmer, but you can swim anytime!
