I did this hike in the late 80's before National Geographic gave it a very high rating. However, my husband had never hiked it. The hike starts with a boat across the lake, hiking past falls + + Google the rest or leave it as...More

I did walk the Crypt Lake Hike which is 9 km long and increases 700 meter height from Waterton Lake up to the summit at Crypt lake! Estimated walking time is 3 hours! The hike starts with a boat tour for about 20 minutes on...More

To put this review in perspective: my husband & I are 60+ yrs old. We are reasonably active, but I had not been to the gym in a few months. That said, it's my own fault that I found the hike outside of my comfort...More

What can I say that others haven't, this is one of the best hikes you can do. It is a moderate to hard hike (assuming you don't have a lot of mountain hiking under your belt) but the views are terrific. It gets crowded in...More

Beautiful trail! Waterfalls and the lake are wondeful! Not very hard! 2.5 hours to go up. You have to take a boat to reach the trailhead.

This is a great hike but plan an early start to make sure you're back to catch the boat back to Waterton. If heights bother you you may want to skip this one, but it's perfectly safe. There is a great cave scramble that opens...More

This is truly a stunning hike. Only accessible by water it weeds out the crowds. We travelled in the shoulder season (june). At this time there was a water shuttle available only twice a day to the trailhead. You take the shuttle for about $20...More
