It's looks intresting from the outside. Sadly we couldn't find the right open hours because it is closed during the winter & spring. You can't find this information in the internet (or is really good hidden) So please check first (maybe call) if you are not sure (or check the photo of the office hours I made):

What a marvelous place to bring students, children of any age and learners of nature. We loved the interactive tour, and all the new knowledge gained about Pacific Salmon, the West Coast Ecosystem, and preserving the rivers for Salmon Runs. My friends from China loved it, and learned so much. Our guide was perfect, kind, well spoken.

We were there in the summer with a big family group and there was a little something for everyone. The tour of the facility was great and super educational and there are a ton of hands on exhibits for the kids to explore. I think they had some help in the design from the Vancouver Aquarium and a lot of... More

What a great stop. A museum and a tour of the hatchery. My son loved his visit. I am pretty sure he visited every exhibit in the small museum 3 times. Then there was a guided tour, talking about salmon, the hatchery, the local environment. Will go back next time we are in the area, sounds like it would be... More

We took the kids (9 & 10) before heading to Telegraph Cove. It was great to understand what we would be seeing on the bear tour the next day, we travelled in September in the hope of seeing the salmon run. The centre is very kid friendly and the staff more that happy to answer any questions.

This was a great experience. The folks working here were amazing. They clearly love what they do and were genuinely excited to share it with us. I learned an amazing amount about salmon and conservation from my visit. It is a MUST see. What a great mission to help the salmon population!!

Stopped in while on a short nature walk. We took the (free) guided tour, and learned a lot about the on-going efforts to sustain salmon populations, and how much we are still learning about the effects we are having on them. Our guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the topic, which made for a really interesting visit. We took... More

We were staying at the campsite next door and decided to pop in before heading down the Island. It is very good value at $12 for a family ticket. You start off inside the museum area, where there is lots of information about salmon and other local wildlife. There were plenty of hands on displays and games to keep the... More

Walked here from Port Hardy.... Take the right hand fork when the Quatse loop splits, the left hand fork gets you there but is not well signed! Very educational, very interactive, you fetch up and someone will almost immediately show you round.
