We arrives by bicycle and had a good view of the abbey complex, impressive Church and statue. The visit is 6 euros and includes the ruins but the Church, cheesemaking and brewery aren’t open to visitors. Lovely partially renovated abbey with informative panels. Stop at...More

The abbey is serene, the surroundings beautiful and it feels special to be there and visit. In the cellar of the new abbey is an exhibition of the history of Orval.

This Abbey in Orval is a MUST-SEE historic ruin which is the main tour to do in this area. Fabulous cheese, and fabulous beer. Great gift shop, too.

We visited the site last Saturday. The weather was rainy and gloomy - which was the perfect condition for immersing yourself in the Medieval atmosphere. The place is unique both for sentimental and historical reasons. The exhibition is excellent, but so is the brewery!

It's a very beautiful abbay in the border of Belgium, Luxembourg and France. It's nice to have an idea how the best beer in the world (at least for me) is brewed. It sells beer and cheese (which is also delicious).
