quick drive from downtown picton; not too much to do up there unless you want to enjoy a drink or meal up there at a local restaurant.

Really great views from the patio. The food is good and generally safe for the North American palate. It always on my list every year, but never on my most memorable meal list although the food is good.

Interesting History lesson but definitely not worth the half hour drive from Sandbanks to view just the lake and the tiny walkway

Perhaps it's the time of year that made our trip to the lake on the mountain not at all exciting. Sure, the view is nice, but not a lot of greenery or colour. Perhaps another trip in late Spring would be better.

Don't plan hours here, good for a stop on the way home for a pretty view. Very small board walk, but cannot walk around the edge.

Worth a stop and a look. This lake was formed by unique geology. Easy access and parking off of a main road. Only a few feet from the road.

I did not see a boat launch but then again I didn't go around the whole lake. It's easily walkable from the parking lot.

there are number of swimming areas....and yes I am pretty sure you can swim at lake on the mountain as they also have cottage rentals. No motorized boats are allowed on the lake,.
