The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

The trail was very well maintained with lots of viewpoints and benches along the walk. I saw people of all ages doing this hike, takes about and hour and a half if you're stopping along the way to take in the views.

We made the drive from Port Hardy down to Ucluelet in a day. It was a long way, but well worth the effort. Ucluelet is a small and friendly town that relies heavily on tourism. We walked the Trail, which is well marked and easy...More

It was about 2 hours hike for us. We made a lot of stops tho. Suitable for family with children. Our little boy and pup loved it! It can get quite chilly even in May. So pack some light jacket in case.

The wild pacific trail system is a great must see here. Plenty of trails long the coastline that are easily hiked. Plenty of good stop and look points with benches so you can stop and rest along the way.

More on the Seaplane, this is an added adventure to your trip, but the flight has a 25lb luggage restriction, you will need to plan accordingly.

If we stay on the opposite side of Ucluelet to the Pacific Trail, how long would it take us to walk to reach it, please? Is there a better side of the resort to be based?
