Lived in Calgary all my life and I resisted the urge to go to McLean creek for some recreational all terrain vehicle riding . Why? Because I figured it was a "Redneck" thing to do... yes I judged others... guilty ! Well my brother decided to take me out trail riding at the end of October before the snow started... More

A short 45 minute drive from the city of Calgary, this is a great location for a hike, mountain biking or other activities. Marred somewhat by off road vehicles it is still well worth the trip. Bring a camera as you can find lots of wildlife, both flora and fauna.

We spent four nights here. The campground is very clean and well maintained. The pull through sites are large and quite private. There is a store at the entrance where the showers are located. The store has friendly staff and a good variety of everything you might need for camping. There is a charge for the showers and you purchase... More

My husband and I have quadded up here a few times. It's a great place to head for rough mountainous terrain and large mud holes. We always head deep into the trails however I'd NOT recommend heading this far back for a beginner or a small child. It has zero cell reception unless on the top of the mountain do... More

We stayed three nights at this campground. It is very clean, sites are spacious, and is the perfect set up if you like to ride ohv's. There is a back access from every site to the trails.

A great Campground for year-round camping. Specifically designed for OHV users. Dirtbiking/quading in the summer and snowmobiling in the Winter. No power sites in the winter though. Kids playground, store, showers and amphitheatre! Hiking trails and riding trails galore. Great for the whole family. We went for Thanksgiving with the 3 kids and they loved it. Have not stayed during... More

Booked Mclean creek 3 months ago and booked a double site. Had friend come out on the weekend and we had a wonderful time. Campsite was nice and wide with 2 firepits, and power. They allow off roading in the loop we were in and it was a great time, a must if you have a motor bike, quad, of... More

My son and I got dirt bikes and have been enjoying McLean Creek this summer and it really is a great place. As our skills and experience have grown we've been able to go further from the main trails and it really is as difficult as you choose to make it for offroad driving so great for all standards of... We went on a beautiful February day for a wiener roast. If you do this, know that you must pay the campsite fee. Worth it to use the fire pit and they have the snow clear. We camp here in the summer. Close to town but out in the foothills.
