Sadly not what it once was, same as many riverside areas affected by the flood. Worth a stop if you are visiting the area, biking or hiking. Still way too many idiots crossing the barriers, risking their lives to get a picture.....

We loved this area so much from the backside on quad which is not an option now. We just had my husband's ash ceremony there - it was the best as we did it early on a Monday am - weekends are crazy busy.

Less than 40 minutes from Calgary, and open all year (the road is closed after the parking lot) this is a must visit place. It changes all year round, the river levels lower in summer and winter and become a torrent in Spring, with beautiful...More

This place is simply wonderful. But you should go out of the trails cause they are plenty of things to see in the area.

We saw pictures of Elbow Falls before the 2013 flood after visiting it this year. WOW! What a change. You can see how truly powerful raging water is and that we can't harness it all the time.

We had being here before the flooding so it's a very different experience this time. Pack a picnic and some chairs and enjoy the beautiful falls and hike. We saw some cliff jumpers also which was a cool experience.

This is a place that attracts tons of people. There's a good path from parking lot to the falls, but it's a bit crowded (even on the cold day we visited), so we walked to the falls along the exposed riverbed. The riverbed was pretty...More

Would have been lovely if we didn't have to worry so much about keeping other visitors out of our camera shots.

Nice drive out in nature, plenty of good views of the mountains, trees, rivers. Stop to enjoy the dire net look out areas. Plenty of places to park. Many options for hikes.

I used to fish at the falls when I was a kid, some 60 plus years ago. We went July 7 a nice hot day. watched a local kayak club go over the falls , that was cool, the flood has changed the area too...More

Hi, yes there are public, dry toilets on site. The parking lot is flat and the first part of the pathway is very accessible for wheel chairs and walkers. There is a viewing area close by to see the falls comfortably. The... More
