Travelling with friends, Uppark House was the place we decided to meet and start our short holiday. We are all NT members, and given that NT properties generally have good restaurants, this seemed an ideal meeting place. It worked well, and had the added bonus...More

I found the house very interesting with servants tunnels under the house. There's a video you can watch regarding the fire which destroyed the house and how it is brought back to its former glory. Excellent knowledgeable staff willing to answer any questions. There is...More

This National Trust property has wonderful views. The history of the owners of the house is very interesting. One owner married the milk maid!! There's a beautiful dolls house here which is about 300 years old.

Great house and gardens But avoid the food The "baked potatoes" were half baked (tasted more like they had been briefly part microwaved) with hard cool insides...so avoid any hot food or take alka seltzer with you or better still eat somewhere else
