Lovely part of route 99 providing a great drive through some of the finest countryside. Places to stop and places to photograph make this enjoyable and rewarding. Good well maintained road surface.

We were on a circle driving tour that started out of Vancouver and were on one of the last legs, heading west from Revelstoke to Cache Creek, and hence to Lillooet and Pemberton. The drive along the Duffy Lake road or highway 99 is an...More

We have not been there in a while now but little has seemed to change. They now have a small charge for the Forestry sites, $12.00/night. I had some problem finding each site on the Forest Service web site but if you google each site...More

This route is one that all should experience. It winds along the mountains and the rivers and creeks. It is a road which cannot be driven like a freeway. There are sharp corners, large cliffs and hard rushing creeks. On my last tr we saw...More

The Pemberton to Lillooet road is a must do road. The scenery along the route is awesome and the campsites are rarely full. There are no gas stations or stores for 90% of the route so there is nothing to distract anyone at all. Fantastic...More

One short stretch south of Lillooet is unpaved due to a new bridge going in, but otherwise totally paved.

Hi ALL past users of "Duffy Lake Road" Hwy 99! We are hiring a 32" RV (with 3 bikes on the back as well!!) in late June this year and have planned a route using this road. I have read all your comments (about braking and switchbacks!) and i did run it past the RV hire company to see if it was a "NO GO road" but they did not comment. I am experienced in driving large vehicles and have a PCV (Double Decker Passenger Bus Licence -UK) and drove 12 metre buses all over Brighton UK for 7 years, but these are different beasts and i have never driven one before! In all of your opinions... is this road SAFE and practical to drive with an RV of the length? (I am very considerate driver and will be contiually pulling over to allow faster vehicles to pass). I don't want to get half way along and get stuck! We have all day to get from Squamish to Lilliooet. Is that practical in this size RV? Thank you in advance for all of your helpful advice. Paul - Sussex, UK.
