I love visiting lighthouses and this was a great little spot in Vancouver. It's away from the city and full of old forest and lots of history. It makes for a nice break from the city and the crowds. There were lots of paths to explore but I was with others who weren't interested. The hike to the lighthouse is... More

Wonderful drive into this Park. Drop your car in the parking area and off you go. BUT first, remember to grab one of the Park maps from the bulletin board! A must! We didn't and that placed us in a disadvantage to understanding and navigating the trail system. But luckily, we took a quick picture of the trail system and... More

From a gentle road to maneuvering around puddles and walking up rocks, this hike has multiple gorgeous views of the ocean, trees, islands, and birds all in a loop with signs that make one quite sure that one will always get back to the parking lot. Carrying one of the handy maps from the parking lot ensure you end up... More

A beautiful park set in the midst of beautiful properties accessible off Marine Drive in West Vancouver. Has beautiful trails with views that look east towards Vancouver's skyline, south and west towards Bowen Island. Spectacular rocky beaches and many wonderful rock outcroppings where you can sit and enjoy the view. Dog friendly and there are a few areas for rock... More

One of the things I love about Vancouver is how close nature is from downtown. Within an hour, you can immerse yourself in the natural surroundings of huge parks and wildlife. Lighthouse Park is one of the parks easily accessible via public transport. About a 45-minute ride from downtown, bus #250 will stop at the entrance of Beacon Lane. From... More

I went just to see the lighthouse, but what I didn't realize is how big the whole park is. I had only planned to spend a few minutes at the park and ended up spending a couple hours. I went in February so the park was pretty empty and a lot of the buildings were closed, but that was fine... More

We went to Lighthouse Park on a very chilly and rainy Jan day. The park was beautiful and there were lots of Eagles flying overhead. Quite a few trails but none of them were too strenuous. Very pleasant!

Great trails of various levels of difficulty. Easy to just walk down the road to the lighthouse. There are fantastic views at various points. The park is kept in excellent condition and has good signposts and information signs. Dogs may be "off-leash"
