I called a few days in advance to make sure they were open during the winter hours. When I arrived I basically got a tour and really good conversation about the history of the area. Staff was extremely friendly!

Finally had the chance to visit this museum and found it interesting. A bit eclectic in its collection but any one with an interest in local history will enjoy a visit here. Don't forget to visit the other building for a glimpse into the past.

since we traveled off season only the main building was opened. The displays were in a stage of flux as the staff was changing and repairing certain exhibits. however we still found the museum interesting and well signed. Staff were very friendly and helpful

THe museum itself is very interesting but the little Reid house was exceptional. You truly felt as if you had stepped back in time. I was really impressed. THe kitchen was amazing. This is a place for history buffs.

I have taken my kids twice and we have enjoyed it both time. The real highlight each time was the blacksmith - he's very kind to the kids and knows a lot of local history and lore.

The Museum was closed but we managed to walk around the various structures nearby. It was very interesting and wished that we could have checked out the museum. I am sure we will another time.

The small simple building houses some very interesting facts about the local area. The staff are friendly and informative, and they love opening young minds up to the past.
