We drove over an hour and half out of our way just to come see the wolves. Imagine our surprise when we arrive and the gate is locked! The website said the center was open daily until 5:00. Apparently they decided to only open on weekends this fall. It would have been nice to know this. Can't SOMEONE update the... More

Hello Pam, We are really sorry that you drove so far without being able to see the wolves. I assume you tried to visit us recently? Our opening times are exactly as stated on the Wolf Centre page on our website: "The Wolf Centre is open from Victoria Day (May long weekend) until the end of the Thanksgiving weekend seven... More

This is our second visit in 2 years and we still found it very interesting. I actually learned a new fact regarding our wolves. Recommend this reserve to see wild wolves doing what they do naturally. We will be back again as nature can be always interesting. We visited the Wolf Centre for 3 days and was never bored watching... More

Great tour by excellent guides ending in a well sheltered indoor view of the wolves in their safely contained and expansive fenced in acres.

This was a fascinating experience for us. We went with Canadian friends who were equally enthralled by this visit. The Wolf Centre is well organised with plenty of information and a very good film about wolves. We were able to view 9 wolves in the wild and the 'guide' who greeted us was extremely knowledgeable about wolves, their habitat, their... More

We were staying in the area and someone recommended attending the Wolf Howl at the Haliburton Wild Life Reserve. We got in on the last one of the season. Wish we had gone earlier to see the resident pack of wolves but they were closed by the time the Wolf Howl started - 8-9pm. It was a terrific experience -... More

Great wilderness camping and canoeing, educational programs for the novice, family or experienced nature tracker, fresh water, wildlife of all sorts. Huge business partner to Haliburton's dominion with wood shop, lumber mill and a restaurant to boot. Take the time to experience it all, visit often or stay for a week - you won't be disappointed.
