Unusual position as it's part of Wing 5 Air base. Sometimes had to show my passport to gain entry. A quite well maintained beach, cleaner than most in Thailand and fewer stray dogs. Deck chair area and open spaces. Can feed Lemur monkeys a couple...More

Ao Manao is so calm. But the beach is not as white as others, perhaps it was located near the mouth of the river.

We went on foot. A bit far but doable. At the entrance of wing 5 you have to register. We didn't have our passport with us but got in anyway. The museum is closed, so is the mountain. You can only climb it on long...More

Went to this especially for the monkeys first thing in the morning. Feels kinda strange riding a scooter over an air field runway but cool nonetheless . We had unshelled peanuts from the market and went to the base of the hill to see them.......More

Lovely beach with a peaceful feeling. Not crowded mostly Thai families and a few foreigners. Some shops and bathrooms available and also a restaurant that is reasonably priced. Worthy of checking it out if you're visiting the area.
